Uniti, the Swedish manufacturer has unveiled the pricing and specification of their fully-electric Uniti One. Designed as a solution to current urban mobility needs while keeping it futureproof.

Two different battery sizes will be available, with a range of up to 300km and can be charged from 20% to 80% within 17 minutes when using a 50 kW CCS charger. Uniti have gone with a minimalist design and clear functionality.

Prices start at £15,100 (after the Government subsidy of £3,500) with deliveries expected to start mid-2020 in Sweden and the UK.

The Uniti One has a very small footprint with a three-seater layout which is unique in class, with a one plus two layout. The driver in the front giving great spacial awareness while the two passengers are in the back. The battery lives under the floor giving plenty of space in the cabin, allowing the space to be used for various purposes. At the rear 155 litres of cargo space is available, the rear seats are split-folding so when they are folded there is a total of 760 litres of cargo space making it very practical. Soft-touch materials are used throughout the cabin with machined aluminium being used for the door handles and other trim. When parked the panoramic roof automatically darkens to stop the cabin from heating up. The interior upholstery will be available in either a light or dark theme. The infotainment system uses Android Automotive OS giving the driver access to their apps including Google Maps, Waze and Spotify without the need to connect a smartphone. Over-The-Air (OTA) software updates will be used to add safety and performance features.

On the exterior, the Uniti One is very simple with clean lines and a smooth body. One of its unique features is the canopy-like windscreen and panoramic roof giving the driver unparalleled visibility as well as allowing plenty of natural light into the cabin. The headlights are sunk into the front of the car, featuring wing-shaped daytime running lights and LED indicators. Three colours will be available; bright metallic Scandium, dark Graphite and warm Titanium all have a satin finish. The wheels will be covered by body-coloured discs, keeping with the smooth finish of the bodywork.

Using a magnet motor which drives the wheels, produces 50kW (68ps) and 85Nm of torque. The standard 12kWh battery allows 150km (93 miles) of range, while the optional 24kWh battery doubles the range to 300km (186 miles). A quick 10-minute charge can add 100km (62 miles) when using a 50kW CCS charger.

The Uniti One is available to order now.
