MG has just announced the MG HS, their new flagship model in the C-segment SUV, giving a family orientated SUV with sporty looks. The MG HS will give customers a luxurious experience at an affordable price.
On the exterior, the HS gets the largest MG logo ever used enclosed by the grille, twin tailpipes and an aluminium diffuser add to the sporty look. Moving inside MG have put comfort at the forefront with soft-touch materials being used throughout the cabin. From the front passenger seat, there is class-leading shoulder-, hip- and head-room. Piano key buttons, turbine design air vents and soft-touch door cards all add to the luxurious quality of the cabin.
The HS will be available in three trim levels; Explore, Excite and Exclusive, each will be powered by the same 162PS turbo petrol engine. A six-speed manual transmission will be available on all models as well as a seven-speed DCT transmission which will be available on the Excite and Exclusive models. Exclusive vehicles fitted with the DCT will have a “Super Sport” button on the steering wheel which enables sport mode while changing the ambient lighting to red.
As standard the HS comes with the MG Pilot suite, giving driver aids to improve the driving experience, these aids include; Active Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist and Blind Spot Detection.
Starting at £17,995 OTR for the entry-level Explore model, included in the price are 17” alloy wheels, keyless entry and start, a 10.1” touchscreen including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, electric folding and heated door mirrors. The Excite, mid-level trim adds rear parking camera, 18” alloys, rain-sensing wipers and sat-nav, available from £20,495 OTR. The top-level Exclusive starts from £22,995 and comes with a choice of two leather interiors (black or red and black), LED sequential indicators, electric and heated front sports seats, dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting, and a panoramic opening Skyroof.
