Hyundai i30 News
Hyundai has released some details of the new i30. The i30 has been given a fresh new design, more connectivity, and a mild hybrid powertrain. An update has also been made to the i30 N Line range, which is still available on the i30 hatchback and fastback.
So what is the Hyundai i30 News?
The new i30 5-door gets a sharper, more agile look! The front boasts a wider grille with a cool 3D texture and narrower headlights. Want the latest tech? You can upgrade to multifaceted reflector LED headlights that complement the new V-shaped LED daytime running lights. It’s a lighting upgrade that screams modern style.
The rear gets a makeover too, with a new bumper design that improves aerodynamics (bonus points for efficiency!). Plus, sleek LED taillights continue the V-theme from the front, tying the whole look together. And let’s not forget the new wheels! Choose from 16″ or 17″ diamond-cut alloys for an extra touch of sophistication.
The N Line gets an even more aggressive look! Down low, the grille gets a major upgrade, with a larger size and floating wings that slice through the air for better performance. In the back, a wider diffuser emphasizes the car’s sporty stance, and the fog lights have been moved for a cleaner look. And to tie it all together, new 17″ or 18″ alloy wheel designs have been added. But the upgrades aren’t just cosmetic – the suspension and steering have been tuned for a more engaging driving experience, making this N Line a true thrill ride.
Interior
The interior has also been given a spruce up, with new air vents and a new garnish colour: Pewter Grey. The seats can be trimmed in cloth or a combination of cloth and leather. A new 7” digital instrument cluster and a 10.25” navigation touchscreen feature have also added more technology. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also compatible with the new system, and wireless phone charging is also featured.
Mild Hybrid technology comes in three different powertrains in the form of a 1.0-litre T-GDI engine, which has 120PS combined with a 48-volt Mild Hybrid, paired to a 6-speed Intelligent Manual Transmission (iMT) to offer better fuel economy. A 1.6-litre diesel engine with 136PS comes as standard, with a 48-volt mild hybrid system, which will be available with either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The range-topping 1.5-litre T-GDI 160PS also comes as standard with the 48-volt mild hybrid system, it is only available in N Line trim in the UK, it also comes with the choice of a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch too.
