The X5 M Competition and X6 M Competition will share the same 625hp, 750Nm 4.4-litre V8 engine, which is a 50hp increase over the previous models.
The engine will be paired to an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic, using BMW’s rear-biased M xDrive all-wheel-drive system. Both models have M-specific adaptive suspension with electronically controlled dampers, active roll stabilisation and M Servotronic steering. The interior also gets the M treatment with BMW Head-Up Display with M specific readouts, multifunction seats and BMW Individual Merino full leather trim. Different modes for the engine, dampers and steering can be used and two M buttons on the steering wheel can be programmed to the driver’s custom settings for each. M mode allows the driver aids to be adjusted, readouts on the instrument cluster and Head-Up Display to be customised. There will be ROAD, SPORT and TRACK settings.
As standard on both the X5 M Competition and X6 M Competition are; BMW Live Cockpit Professional and Parking Assistant.
