All-New BMW 1 Series News
The all-new 1 Series is just around the corner. This is the third generation of the 1 Series. The new 1 Series is almost the same size as the previous model (5mm shorter, 34mm wider, and 13mm taller). However, it features more space in the cabin, as the bonnet is shorter than before. It also features the latest technology and retains BMW’s renowned performance and handling.
What will be included in the All-New BMW 1 Series?
The new BMW 1 Series receives LED headlights as standard. They have a new pointier shape with a “shark nose.” The kidney-shaped grille is now larger and merges together for the first time on the 1 Series. The M135i xDrive will feature a unique grille design with mesh compared to the bars on the other models available.
In profile, the 1 Series has a distinctive window line accompanied by two character lines: one just below the door handles and the other starting at the bottom of the front door and rising towards the rear quarter.
For the first time, the 1 Series uses a front-wheel-drive layout with a transverse engine and lower centre tunnel, allowing more space inside than the previous model. This makes the new 1 Series easier to get in and out of and also gives 33mm more knee room than the old 1 Series. Headroom is also increased by 19mm (when the panoramic sunroof is optioned).
Buckle up for a driver’s dream! The new 1 Series puts you in command. Controls like the gear selector and iDrive system are grouped for easy reach, angled towards you for a cockpit feel. Upgrade to the BMW Live Cockpit Professional (standard on M135i) with the latest BMW OS 7.0 and even add gesture control for a truly personalized experience.
19” alloys will be available as an option on the M135i and M Sport models, and this will be the first time wheels of this size will be available on a 1 Series. Another first for the 1 Series on the availability of a panoramic roof. Three trim levels will be available: SE, Sport and M Sport, and the range-topper M135i xDrive. The SE has matt black grilles on the front bumper. The Sport adds air inlets in high-gloss black, a chrome frame on the kidney grille with high-gloss struts. M Sport adds satin aluminium struts in the grille and Dakota leather seats and contrast stitching. The M135i xDrive gets a mesh grille, unique front bumper inlet clasps, Cerium Grey mirror caps and a high-gloss black diffuser.
