Škoda is bringing the Monte Carlo trim level to the Kamiq, looking back at the brand’s rallying pedigree. The Monte Carlo trim will become the range-topping level, adding some sporty features.
What changes will there be?
As seen in other models in the Škoda range, the Kamiq Monte Carlo adds black features such as a grille and wheels and upgraded equipment. Škoda is targeting a younger audience with the new sportier version of the Kamiq.
The Kamiq is the second SUV to receive the Monte Carlo treatment after the Yeti. Adding glamour to Monaco while alluding to the brand’s motorsport history. The first model to bear the Monte Carlo name was the 1936 limited edition Škoda Popular, currently available on the Fabia.
To complement the Kamiq’s split full-LED headlights, the Monte Carlo incorporates a gloss black frame grille. New black details also include wing mirror caps, roof rails, side sills and the lettering on the tailgate. The Monte Carlo trim is available across the entire engine range of the Kamiq. Also included as standard are the new black 17” alloy wheels with a unique Monte Carlo design; optional 18” alloy wheels are also available. The Monte Carlo trim includes tinted side windows and a panoramic roof. The rear of the Kamiq has been given a black diffuser and full LED tail lights.
The interior receives height-adjustable sports seats with the Monte Carlo logo on the headrests. A perforated leather multifunction sports steering wheel with red stitching adds to the sporty feel. Red LED ambient lighting is used to light the centre console, door storage compartments, door handles, and footwells. The Kamiq Monte Carlo also features aluminium pedals and chrome-effect air vents with Kamiq written on the door sills.
The Škoda Kamiq Monte Carlo will debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show from the 10th to the 22nd of September and will launch in the fourth quarter of 2019.
