Citroën C5 Aircross Compact SUV News
Citroën will debut the C5 Aircross SUV Hybrid at this year’s Brussels Motor Show, which is held between the 10th and 19th of January. Citroën is launching an electric offensive with the C5 Aircross SUV Hybrid being the flagship. Efficient combustion engines will be joined by 100% electric and plug-in hybrid models. Six new electrified models will be available during 2020, bringing low emissions vehicles to the masses. Every new model Citroën introduces will have an electrified version by 2025.
The C5 Aircross SUV Hybrid features suspension with Progressive Hydraulic Cushions and Advanced Comfort seats to give the occupants a comfortable place while on long journeys. Zero emissions driving is achieved using 100% electric mode, giving a range of 31 miles, with the PureTech petrol engine coming into play on longer trips. Using 100% electric mode also gives the driver and passengers a peaceful drive with very little noise or vibration into the cabin. Combining the PureTech 180hp petrol engine with an 80kW electric motor and the ë-EAT8 automatic gearbox gives a combined output of 225hp and instant torque of 320Nm.
The C5 Aircross SUV Hybrid has a modular design on the interior with three individual seats in the rear which independently slide, tilt and fold with class-leading load space of 460-litres up to 600-litres too. The C5 Aircross is user-friendly, it automatically controls the driving modes for best economy and performance, and is easy to charge.
The C5 Aircross SUV Hybrid is the first plug-in hybrid model in Citroën’s “Core Model Strategy” which will mean 80% of their range will have an electric version by 2023, with 100% of their range electrified by 2025.
