Mercedes-Benz has released the new GLA, it is on sale now, starting at £32,640 on-the-road. First deliveries are due in the summer.
There’s plenty of choice in engines, with two petrol and three diesels available. The GLA 200 has a 1.3-litre four-cylinder petrol which has 163hp and 250Nm of torque. The GLA 250 has a 2.0-litre engine with 224hp and 350Nm of torque. The diesel-powered variants come as a GLA 200 d, a 2.0-litre four-cylinder with 150hp and 320Nm of torque, the GLA 200 d is available with two-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive. The GLA 220 d, which comes with a 2.0-litre diesel engine with 190hp and 400Nm torque. The GLA 200 comes with the 7G-DCT seven-speed transmission as standard, every other engine comes with the 8G-DCT eight-speed transmission.
The Sport trim level is the entry-level for the 200 and 200 d, it comes, as standard, with; 18” five-spoke alloy wheels, LED headlights, heated front seats, aluminium roof rails, MBUX multimedia system as well as Mercedes me Connectivity, a seven-inch touchscreen media display and a seven-inch digital cockpit.
AMG line gives more, including; 19” AMG five-spoke alloy wheels, privacy glass, AMG bodystyling, ARTICO/DINAMICA sports seats complete with red contrast stitching and carbon-structure trim.
Another step up is the AMG Line Executive, this adds to the standard equipment with; front and rear parking sensors, Mirror package, smartphone integration and wireless charging and a 10.25” central media display.
The AMG Line Premium gives even more; Keyless Entry, illuminated door sills, mid-range sound system, augmented reality for navigation, 64-colour ambient lighting, tow bar pre-installation, a 10.25” digital cockpit. By selecting the AMG Line Premium Plus you get; a panoramic sunroof, memory seats, traffic sign assist and Multibeam LED headlights with Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus.
