Audi RS e-Tron Review

We continue our ‘fun fact’ week with one that we all can relate to! Did you know the average British driver spends around 99 days of their life stuck in traffic? Sorry it’s so depressing but it is true so try not to think about it!

Now for something a little more fun! With all these electric models coming out it can be hard to keep track of the ones you want to see more of, but we are sure this is one of them. Due to come on sale in the UK around springtime, Audi’s first ever all-electric RS model, the RS e-Tron GT! This car is said to be able to challenge the likes of Tesla and Porsche in terms of outright power for an EV, which is really exciting in itself. This week’s video is by Automann-TV, they do some brilliant videos of car reviews and drag races, you are bound to find something you like!

There are 2 versions of Audi’s electric sports car, the standard GT, and the RS GT. The latter is the one this video focusses on, boasting a monstrous 650bhp and 800nm of torque! Although we cannot see the majority of the interior, possibly because Audi want to keep it under wraps… pardon the pun! First off, he takes the car on a country road to get the feel of it and stretch the batteries legs. They do a quick 0-100kph test with 2 people in the car and it takes around 3.2 seconds which is pretty lightning if you ask me! You could even get it down to 3.1 seconds with less weight.

Later that night he gets to take the Audi for a 0-100 and 100-200kph tests on a runway! Lucky… The Audi does not disappoint, shooting off the line, climbing to 100kph in 3.2 seconds and getting from 0-200kph in 10.7 seconds!

“Oh my goodness, this is seriously fast!”

Finally, Mr Automann had the chance to take some stylish shots around the prototype car and show off some of the funky light displays on the rear brake-lights. So not only is this new Audi RS model cheaper than the Tesla and Porsche counterparts, but personally, I think it looks better than the Tesla and will probably be more practical than the Porsche Taycan.
